PCBOARD BETA 15.4 SYSOPS who wish to use HIEW.EXE
To eliminate THE 30 day NAG from your BETA REL
will do the following to PCBOARD.EXE and PCBOARDM.EXE
Put HIEW.EXE+.INI+.HLP IN A DIRECTORY IN your DOS PATH
COPY PCBOARD.EXE & PCBOARDM.EXE to a directory not in your DOS PATH
for safe keeping should something go wrong with this fix
in your PCB directory keyin HIEW PCBOARD.EXE or M.EXE depending
on which one your fixing.
PRESS F-4 to select MODE
PRESS F-2 HEX
PRESS F-7 SEARCH
ARROW UP to HEX
KEYIN 26 2b 07 89 46 fe
(Don't worry when the program changes lowercase to uppercase the search
still works)
PRESS ENTER
after the search is complete and your curser is on 26
PRESS F-3 EDIT
KEYIN 33 c0 90 (starting at the 26)
PRESS ENTER
PRESS F-9 UPDATE
PRESS F-10 QUIT AND SAVE
LOAD UP YOUR PCBOARD see that the nag is gone and pat yourself on the back
for being able to Hack PCBOARD CODE
