This driver supports 640x480 to 1280x1024 resolutions in 256 color mode and 640x480 to 1024x768 in 64k color mode. Please note that due to the installation method that Microsoft currently has chosen for the W32, the installation process is not as straightforward as we would have liked. From the Control Panel display driver installation screen the user must select the OTHER button (not "Tseng Labs W32" which will be listed!). If the user selects the "Tseng Labs W32" entry from the Models dialog box they will not get the Accelerated W32 drivers! Detailed instructions are given below. After successfully installing and rebooting the driver and adapter, information can be viewed in the Display applet by selecting Change Display Type. The new drivers ID string is "Tseng Labs Accelerated W32". This ID string does not get written to the Models dialog box so the Other install option must always be used to select the Accelerated W32 drivers if they are not currently selected. The installation is straight forward and is described below as well as in the README.TXT distributed with the drivers. Install proceedure: Select Other install option do not select "Tseng Labs W32" entry from Models list: Select Control Panel Select Display Select Change Display Type Select Change Select Other Enter Selected drive Select OK The "Tseng Labs Accelerated W32" is highlighted: Select Install Select Yes If you have installed the driver in the past you may select to use the current drivers at this time. In this case the driver files will not be copied. Enter Path of OEM Display driver files Select Continue The driver files are copied and installed. Select OK Select OK Select Restart Now (to activate drivers) Changing modes: Select Control Panel Select Display Select List All Modes Highlight desired mode Select OK Select Test Select OK If the bit map is displayed properly Select OK Select Restart Now (to activate drivers)
